Billing Rights & Policies

1. Subscription Tiers & Auto-Renewal Disclosures

Cata offers both a complimentary Standard tier and paid subscriptions. By purchasing, you authorize us to charge your designated payment method for all applicable fees.

• Premium Subscription: Billed at $4.98 monthly. This plan is an auto-renewing subscription that will automatically extend and charge your card on the same date each month until canceled.
• Unlimited Compute Pass: A non-recurring, one-time payment of $5.00 which grants thirty (30) days of high-capacity AI sommelier parsing. This pass strictly does NOT auto-renew. Upon expiration of the 30-day period, the account gracefully reverts to its pre-existing tier (Standard or Premium) without additional charges.

2. Streamlined Online Cancellation Policy

You have the right to terminate your Premium subscription at any time. To facilitate hassle-free cancellation, Cata provides a one-click online cancellation utility in your Profile / Subscription settings.

Upon cancellation, all Premium benefits remain active until the final day of your current billing period, after which your account will downgrade to the Standard tier. You will not be charged again.

3. Strict Refund and Proration Limits

To prevent abuse of our high-compute neural networks, all sales are subject to strict refund rules:

• No Prorated Refunds: We do not offer partial or prorated refunds for unused mid-month billing intervals.
• Unlimited Pass Refund Restraints: The $5.00 Unlimited Compute Pass is strictly non-refundable once any AI tokens have been consumed or label scans executed.
• Technical Failure Exception:Refunds will only be evaluated in cases of proven, system-wide technical failure. A technical failure is legally defined as a continuous, system-wide outage of Cata's core database or API pairing recommenders exceeding twenty-four (24) consecutive hours.

4. Subscription Price Adjustment Disclosures

Cata reserves the right to modify subscription fees. If we change subscription pricing, we will notify you at least thirty (30) days in advance via the email address associated with your profile. This gives you ample notice to review the change and cancel your subscription before the new rate is billed.

5. Fair Credit Billing Act & Dispute Timelines

Under the Federal Fair Credit Billing Act, you have the right to dispute unauthorized or erroneous credit card charges.

If you detect a billing mismatch or believe a charge was applied in error, you must submit a formal billing inquiry to our support channel within sixty (60) calendar days of the charge date. Resolving disputes directly helps us trace technical anomalies and avoids costly chargeback fees.
